Happy New Year!

The past few months have gone by so quickly! We're doing well here in KY land. Bishop and the family have been enjoying a much deserved school break since before Christmas. Bishop survived his first semester of Greek and is looking forward to part II (my translation-not his). The kids have been telling us about all the books they stay up reading and how late they get to sleep in. Ah, Christmas Break. What bliss!

Let's go a little bit back in time although I can't really fill in all that has happened since July so I'll just begin at Christmas. This Christmas, Matt and I drove to AR to spend time with my Mom and brother and sisters. But before we left, we got to play Santa to the Wachara kids. We really enjoyed Junior excitedly hopping up and down as he thought that every gift was for him and he was more than happy to open them all. The girls were a bit more demur in opening their gifts. We have really enjoyed the kids and have had occassion to babysit now and then. So far we've been ice-skating and roller-skating. Of the two, the girls prefer ice-skating. I think that bowling will be our next adventure. Jane has been such a good friend and I know that Matt really enjoys his time with Philemon Sr. God has blessed us in this place he's led us to!

We pray that you had a blessed season remembering and celebrating how God came down and became flesh in His awesome plan to save us.
