After a few incidents of boppings on the head and a shove here and there, James-Matthew appears to be enjoying his sister.

Jemimah is here!

We were blessed with the arrival of Jemimah Lightshines on August 1st. She arrived at 4:16pm weighing 7 lbs 2 oz and a long 22". James-Matthew thinks she's the neatest thing since laptops!

Thankfully, Momma Lydia is here helping us out as we get used to this wonderful addition to our family.

Crawling -N Cruising

It's been forever and an age. Here we are in 2009 and I'm just now getting around to putting in an entry. James-Matthew is 10 mos. old now and keeps us amused. He's crawling and cruising and getting into all kinds of things but we wouldn't have it any other way. Here are some vidoes that we've been capturing lately of the tyke.

Pumpkin Hat

It's hard to believe that James-Matthew is 6 months old now. What a joy he is. Here's a video of Mom and I playing with him. We love his pumpkin hat that was given to us by one of Joanne's (Matt's Mom) friends from N. Dakota. This is definitely going into his Fall/Oct. 31st look. :)

He Laughs

We had a chance to go home to Bismarck, ND for a family reunion this month. Most every summer, Matt's brothers and sisters make the trek home to Bismarck. This year all but one was there. We really had a nice time. The weather was windy and mild -really gorgeous. James-Matthew got to meet all the younger cousins and 2nd cousins and great Aunts and Uncles. And of course, Grandma and Grandpa were delighted to see their baby love. He never lacked for anyone to hold him. Needless to say, he really enjoyed meeting his Daddy's family. One evening, his cousin Medora decided to play Peek-a-Boo with him. To our surprise and enjoyment, this little game made him laugh! It was a lovely sound to hear. I'm glad we recorded his first laugh.
